Kitsune Mask in Japanese culture?

I'm doing a sculpture for school and need to find information on the kitsune masks of Japanese culture. I've looked for days for any information that reinforces the idea that the masks have an important part in the culture and that is the only way I am able to make this mask. If there are any good informational sites about these masks or a great place to look, please let me know!! All help is appreciated!
