Is there a way to send satellite tv and dvd signals through a wireless router or something like it to your tv?

we have a flat screen tv we want to mount about the fireplace but, don't want wires all over the wall. since the cable is in the next room, we wanted to keep it there and just send the signal to the tv. any ideas would be great. thanks.
